Dr. Caroline Gates

OTD, OTR/L

Helping people get back to the activities they love is what drew her to occupational therapy. She is originally from Dallas and earned her Bachelor’s in Health and Exercise Science from the University of Oklahoma, followed by her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Gannon University.

She has experience helping individuals recover from traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, stroke, and neurodegenerative conditions, with a special focus on vision rehabilitation, cognitive retraining, and upper-extremity motor recovery. She’s worked across acute care, post-acute, and inpatient rehabilitation settings and contributed to developing Tampa General Hospital’s Acute & Critical Care OT Fellowship Program. She aims to deliver personalized therapy that supports individuals in achieving meaningful independence in their everyday life.

When she is not in the clinic, you’ll find her riding her bike, practicing yoga, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
