ONWARD Arc-Ex®
At Neubility Rehabilitation and Wellness, we’re proud to be one of the first in the Tampa Bay region to offer the ONWARD ARC-EX® — a cutting-edge, non-invasive neuromodulation therapy designed to help individuals with cervical spinal cord injury reconnect with movement and function.
What Is it?
The ARC-EX® System is a transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation device that delivers gentle electrical stimulation through the skin to specific areas of the spinal cord. This stimulation “awakens” neural pathways that may have been disrupted by injury or disease, helping the brain and body communicate more effectively.
When paired with targeted, activity-based physical therapy, Arc-Ex helps improve:
- Hand and arm function
- Trunk control and posture
- Bowel & Bladder Function
- Spasticity
- Mobility and independence
Who can benefit?
The ARC-EX® is current FDA-approved for: Individual with Incomplete Cervical Spinal Cord Injury

How It Works at Neubility
Your therapy is delivered by licensed neuro-specialized physical therapists trained in ONWARD’s ARC-EX® protocols.
During sessions, electrodes are placed on cervical level and controlled stimulation is applied while you perform functional training.
This combination of neuromodulation and task-specific training promotes neuroplasticity — the nervous system’s ability to reorganize and form new connections — to restore function and improve motor control.
We typically recommend ARC-EX® sessions three times per week for 8 weeks (24 sessions total), integrated into a personalized rehabilitation plan to maximize results.
